Foursquare is great for reminding you how many...
And for reminding you what an awful friend you are for not telling them you’re here.

emmaleah: One’s a crusty bus station, and the other’s a busty crustacean. Credit goes to Pete for making me laugh for way too long this morning. Oh man, that joke just made my day.

Partly cloudy, fog early. High 63.
Sounds like every day in San Francisco, and it’s the forecast for all five days I’m there. First, three days of grueling work. Let’s do this.

TOO MANY MEN.
Easily one of the most moronic rules in the NFL. The Giants could have put too many men on the field on purpose to run down the clock. That’s eight seconds the Pats couldn’t get back. That’s a lifetime in football. Funny that there was an NFL ad during the game about how the passage of time in football’s history has resulted in “more rules.” More rules are...

Juxtaposition
NY1 shows video of “supporters” of a guy who shot an NYPD officer cheering him on during his perp walk. I think, “that’s disgusting. How could they have such disdain for human life?” NY1 then shows amateur video of a 19-year old kid being beaten to a pulp by four NYPD officers in a drug arrest. I think, “oh, right. That’s how.”

Rhode Island makes an appearance on The Daily Show’s Indecision 2000… with special appearances by the Haven Brothers Diner and Buddy Cianci! I still regularly use Stephen Colbert’s opening line, “Rhode Island: it’s really close to Boston.”

wanderlustandtethers replied to your post: Two trains arrive at a subway station on parallel tracks about one minute apart and will use the same track beyond this station. WHAT. That happened? Yup, and not just once, but quite regularly at the 34th-Herald Square Station. An N or Q pulls up on the express track, dwells in the station for one, two, sometimes three minutes, then an N or R comes in...

Do you: A.) Let the train that arrived in the station first proceed first? B.) Let the express train proceed first? C.) Inexplicably let the local train that arrived in the station last proceed first? If you chose C, congratulations! You are now eligible for a job at the MTA.

Thanks, Tumblr, for getting rid of backdating...
They got rid of timestamping, so now I can’t backdate posts so more important posts for the day appear at the top of my beer blog. Tumblr: becoming less and less useful for me by the day.
