My boss is yelling at me to go home
“Your eyes are glassy and you sound like crap. Why are you here?!”
Honestly? Because I’d rather be sick at work than sick at home. After spending most of the weekend on the couch, I’ve run out of things to watch on TV.
Reschedule a date from last weekend, when I was sick, for Friday on Wednesday.
Feel like my cold from last weekend is sneaking its way back into my system on Thursday.
Feel like I was hit by a Mack Truck on Friday.
Cancel a date once? Fine, things happen. Cancel a date twice - for the same reason - makes me think I’m not going to get another chance.
Why you can't get that beer here →
Every time I go to a place like Good Beer or Top Hops or Growler Station, someone comes in and asks for a beer that simply isn’t available in New York. Hopefully, this will help quell the never-ending stream of requests for Bell’s or Three Floyds.

Meanwhile, the RISD club hockey team, the Nads, recently lost to Emerson, much to the dismay of their beloved mascot, Scrotie.
The MTA: consistently inconsistent
On the Customer Information Screen and announced in the station at 42nd St- Times Square on the 1/2/3:
Due to a customer requiring medical assistance, uptown 1 trains are running express between 34th Street and 72nd Street.
Meanwhile, a 1 train pulls into the station on the local track, announces that its next stop is 50th Street, and proceeds to 50th Street without incident.
Pedestrian run over; SFPD says no crime →
No, SFPD. This is not “an unfortunate traffic collision.” An unfortunate traffic collision is tapping someone’s rear-end bumper when they stop short. This was A PEDESTRIAN GETTING RUN OVER WITH THE LIGHT IN A CROSSWALK BY A VAN THAT DID NOT YIELD THE RIGHT OF WAY.
This is absolutely sickening. If justice can’t be served in this case, when can it be?

Pretty big deal.
For those wondering where I took this photo... →
This is at the 191st Street station on the 1 train. The station is the deepest in the MTA’s system - about 180 feet below St. Nicholas Ave., which itself is perched on Fort George Hill. There are two ways to get to the station: via elevator to the surface of St. Nicholas Ave., or via this 1,000-foot long underground walkway that makes a bee-line for the side of the hill and lets out onto...

SFO -> JFK
No picture this time, since I’m in a middle seat. Unconventional, but I was able to change my flight and see daylight at home today.

Since I’m on the West Coast and SNL hasn’t aired yet, I’m understanding the problem of spoilers for the first time.

Sounds like every day in San Francisco, and it’s the forecast for all five days I’m there. First, three days of grueling work. Let’s do this.
