"What does mayor Bloomberg have against the working people of New York?"
- Question asked by MTA employees in a ad for the Transport Workers Union
Answer: NOTHING. Because working people don’t get 11.3% raises, don’t do one hour of actual work in a eight-hour shift, can’t stay employed while sleeping on the job, will be held accountable for poor performance, and aren’t paid with taxpayer money. You are a PUBLIC SERVANT. And once you all start acting like public servants and are held accountable by your union as such, maybe Bloomberg will treat you with dignity and respect.
