I’m torn by my love of the older Weezer, an indie crush on Sara Bareilles based on that one song where’s pretty adorable the whole time (is that every song? I dunno), and then there’s this song about Rivers not being able to seal the deal and telling the girl that he doesn’t have all night, because really, emo men with thick rimmed glasses have things to do. What does that even mean, he doesn’t have all night? He’s going to keep up with her because he’s desperate for her to make a move, but he doesn’t want to because he feels awkward about it, so he’s hoping that by simply following her around, she’ll figure it out. But hopefully soon, because he doesn’t have all night.
But the song is catchy! AGH.
I already loved this song, but with the he said/she said angle, it’s pretty much the story of my life.
