So, has anyone had a POSITIVE experience finding an apartment in NYC?
I’d like to hear that there is a chance, however small, that this won’t be the most painful and stressful next six weeks of my life.

I did. I looked at two apartments in one night and one was the one I ended up picking. Had everything I wanted, the lease signing was a piece of cake. No broker fee…and they even gave me keys before my move in date. So there is hope.

Hah. unlikely. Carolyn and I are forcing ourselves to attend a viewing today that we know is bullshit just to stay on the broker’s good side. The kitchen sink is smaller than our large bowls.
